Within the framework of a trilateral agreement between PJSC Gazpromneft, JSC Corporation Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (a subsidiary of the State Corporation for Space Activities Roscosmos) and CJSC Joint Venture Mekamineft in 2019, the development of the first Russian fleet for hydraulic fracturing (FRACKING) was launched. A contract was signed with the R-Factor plant for the manufacture of individual pieces of equipment and components for the Russian hydraulic fracturing fleet.

In particular, the following components were manufactured: high-pressure pumps NPG.5x4 with lubrication systems in the amount of 4 pieces for the complete set of pumping units, a proppant supply mechanism, a mixer with a wear-resistant coating for a sand-mixing plant, as well as an installation for heating process fluids with a capacity of 3,050 kW and the installation of chemical additives.

The task of creating a Russian mobile complex for the extraction of hard-to-recover oil reserves (hydraulic fracturing fleet) was designated in accordance with the decision of the President of the Russian Federation and the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation within the framework of the program of import substitution and diversification of the military-industrial complex in the interests of the domestic oil and gas complex.
